Hydrothermal Synthesis and Crystal Structure of [Nd(PW_(11)O_(39))(H_2O)_3](H_2bpy)_2·4H_2O

Abstract

A novel inorganic-organic hybrid material [Nd(PW11O39)(H2O)3](H2bpy)2·4H2O was synthesized by hydrothermal reaction of NdCl3·6H2O,4-4'-bipyridine,(NH4)3PW12O40·3H2O and H2O in a molar ratio of 4∶4∶1∶3900 at 130℃ for 72h,pH=6.We use infrared spectrum,EDS,elemental and single crystal analyses to obtain the structure.The compound crystallized in triclinic group P-1,with the cell parameters a=1.18824(9)nm,b=1.35707(10)nm,c= 1.77691(13)nm,α= 71.551(2)°,β= 82.478(2)°,γ= 80.568(2)°.The crystal is packed by inorganic covalent chain∞1[Nd(PW11O39)(H2O)3]4-and organic molecule 4,4'-(H2bpy)2+,crystal water molecule.It is a new kind of inorganic-organic hybrid compound.
