An Empirical Study on Lack of English Learning Motivation and the Countermeasures among higher vocational students——Taking Lianyungang Technical College as an example

With the aid of SPSS14.0,the paper investigated 254 students of non-English majors about the lack of English learning motivation.The findings show the main factors that affect their English learning motivations include the English learning capacity,teachers' personalities,teaching abilities and methods,interests in English learning,the English learning environment,English learning strategies,teaching materials,teaching equipment and teaching modes.Based on the analysis of these factors,the paper puts forward the methods and the strategies to reform English teaching,so that more English teachers pay attention to this phenomenon in English learning.
