Abstract
Labyrinth seal was experimentally investigated to determine the effects of rotational speed and pressure ratio on the leakage through the seal. The effects of rotational speed on the flow parameter using dynamic clearance and static clearance were analyzed in detail respectively. The investigation encompasses a wide range of pressure ratio and rotational speed. The main reasons for flow parameter changes with rotational speed and pressure ratio were analyzed.A number of valuable conclusions have been drawn on the basis of analyses.
