Clinical curative effect of cognitive therapy in treatment of patients with schizophrenia and its influences on social functions

Objective:To analyze clinical effect of cognitive therapy in treatment of patients with schizophrenia and its influences on social functions.Methods:88 cases with schizophrenia patients in our hospital from 2009 June to 2011 December were randomly divided into control group( n = 44,were given routine drug treatment) and study group( n = 44,were given cognitive therapy based on the drug treatment).The two groups were treated for 8 weeks.The clinical effects were evaluated by using positive and negative symptom scale( PANSS),cognitive ability and treatment attitude questionnaire( ITAQ) and social disability scale( SDSS).Results:After the treatment,the PANSS score and SDSS score of two groups decreased,and the scores of study group were significantly lower than those of control group,and the differences were statistically significant( P 0.05).The ITAQ scores of two groups decreased,and the score of study group was significantly higher than that of control group,and the differences were statistically significant( P 0.05).Conclusions:The drug combined with cognitive therapy in the treatment of the patients with schizophrenia has a good clinical efficacy,and can improve social functions.
