SURVEY ON THE AWARENESS RATE OF PREVENTION AND TREATMENT KNOWLEDGE RELATED TO HEPATITIS B AMONG ADULTS IN MINHANG DISTRICT OF SHANGHAI

[Objective] To investigate the awareness rate of prevention and treatment knowledge related to hepatitis B among adults in Minhang District of Shanghai.[Methods] Questionnaire survey was conducted among adults in Minhang District by stratified random sampling.[Results] The average awareness rate about transmission knowledge of hepatitis B was 75.02%.The awareness rates for non-transmission of blood transmission and shaking hands,sharing of office supplies for hepatitis B were 88.83%,90.58% and 90.75% respectively,while the awareness rate of other routes of transmission were all less than 80%,and the awareness rate of sexual transmission was only 41.36%.The average awareness rate about the dangers of hepatitis B was 66.07%.The awareness rate about that there was not completely cured medicine for hepatitis B in the world and the prevalence of hepatitis B in our country was high presented the lowest rate.The awareness about knowledge of hepatitis B was related to education level and occupation,and higher education level made higher score,while the medical staff made the highest score.Most of the residents sourced the related knowledge from the television,accounted for 41.11%.[Conclusion] The health education about the knowledge of hepatitis B to the residents in Minhang District still needs to strengthen.
