Abstract
The ‘European dimension’ is no longer something that can be ignored or even relegated to a single chapter — you will find reference to the influence of European Union law throughout the book. However, this chapter seeks to examine the main aspects of how the law of the European Union is made, its recent development and its impact on the law of member states. In addition, the institutions of the Union will be described in outline.
