Abstract

In the present paper, the effect of varying the location of the assembled vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) within an insulation composite system for a building has been theoretically and experimentally studied under large temperature variations. Under large temperature difference, it was found that VIP composite assembly as an internal insulation system has better indoor thermal comfort index and exhibited greater effects on improving microclimate and energy efficiency in comparison with the other two structures.
