Abstract
There were synthesized two new kinds of bis(alkyl-cyclopentadienyl) nickel where the alkyls were n-butyl and benzyl. These two compounds are more sensitive to air than the unsubstituted bis(cyclopentadienyl) nickel itself. Bis(n-butyl-cyclopentadienyl) nickel had the main UV absorption bands at 15,000 cm~(-1) and 31,500 cm~(-1). The former band could be assigned to the d-d
