Abstract
Total RNA was extracted from the liver of 3-month-old New Zealand White rabbit,then the full-length cDNA library was constructed using SMART cDNA library construction Kit.The primary cDNA library contained 255×10 6 transformants per microgramme plasmid,and the titer of the library was about 2.7×10 9CFU/mL.PCR results showed that the inserts varied from 0.5kb to 2.0kb,and the recombination rate was about 100%.The analysis of expressed sequence tags indicated that 37 clones were highly homologous with that of Oryctolagus cuniculus,11 sequences were highly homologous with that of other mammalian species genes,and the other 2 sequences were novel.This rabbit liver cDNA library provided foundation for studying functions of genes expressed in rabbit liver.
