Abstract

This chapter presents the evolution of greenhouse concept, and discusses the climatic suitability of greenhouse vegetable production. The commonly used materials used in greenhouses and their properties, types of greenhouses, site selection for greenhouse construction, and the design and construction of plastic-film greenhouses are also described.
