Research on the Oral Cavity Health Education Intervention-effect for Dental Patients

Objective Make known the present situation and its intervention-effect of the Oral cavity hygiene knowledge for the dental patients. Method By way of a questionnaire to the 1059 dental patients in the centre, so as to have a better knowledge of the percentage of those who are aware of the oral cavity hygiene knowledge. Result About 51.36% of the patients lack the basic knowledge of oral cavity hygiene before the intervention, however, after the intervention, the oral cavity hygiene index falls down from 53.8%(high) to 69.2%(medium and lower), Conclusion The percentage of the dental patients who are aware of the hygiene knowledge is still comparatively low for the fime being, thus, health education to them should be enhanced.
