Los arpones del Magdaleniense superior de la Cova de les Cendres y su valoración en el contexto del Magdaleniense mediterráneo Upper Magdalenian harpoons in the Cendres Cave and their assessment within the context of the Mediterranean Magdalenian

In this paper we study the ten Upper Magdalenian harpoons from Cova de les Cendres. Through their comparison with the other harpoons located in the Mediterranean area of the Iberian Peninsula (27 pieces) we can establish their chrono-stratigraphical position and asses their morphological and tipometric patterns. We pay special attention to their characterization with regard to the harpoons from the French Surest, the Northern Catalonian area and the Cantabric area of the Iberian Peninsula. This analysis let us to progress in the definition of the regional specificity of the Mediterranean Upper Magdalenian.
