Analysis on Plant Community Characteristics and Diversity in Parks of Shanghai Center City

The paper investigates plant furnishing of 13 parks of Shanghai center city and analyses the composition of trees,community characteristics and plant diversity.The results indicate:1)There are 246 vascular plants.It comprises 116 woody plants and 130 herbaceous plants.The ratio is 1∶1.37 between evergreen and deciduous trees.2)The maximum plant community is three-decker evergreen and deciduous forest community.This conforms to the character of natural vegetation.3)The diversity indexes of Zhongshan Park and the Shanghai Botanical Garden are higher than those of the other parks.Their plant communities are close to the nature and more stable than others.On the basis of the above the paper points out some existing problems of plants in Shanghai parks and makes some suggestions on plants configuration of the city park in future.
