Investigation and analysis of wild Vitis resources in Guizhou province.

The combining methods,including references,field investigation and ex-situ conservation,were used to explore the distribution and main biological characteristics of wild Vitis in Guizhou Province.The taxonomic key of identifying Vitis resources in Guizhou Province was summarized.Our nearly 5-year investigation results showed that there were eleven wild Vitis species and three variations in Guizhou Province.The variation V.adenoclada Hand-Mazz var liboensis X.J.Pan was first named in the world.The species V.adenoclada,V.pseudoreticulata ,V.piasezkii and the variation V.davidii Fo?x var.ferruginea were first recorded in Guizhou Province.There was great difference in the number of wild Vitis species and its density between different regions of Guizhou Province.The number of wild Vitis species in Qiandongnan state was the biggest,and the distribution of Vitis quinquangularis was the widest and the most popular in Guizhou Province.
