Abstract

The results revealed that all the insecticide mixtures were effective in reducing leafhopper population at one day to spray and order of effectivity was triazophos + deltamethrin @ 360 g.a.i./ha >profenophos + cypermethrin @ 440g a.i./ha > chlorpyriphos + cypermethrin @ 550g a.i./ha. However, mixture of profenophos + cypermethrin exhibited low effectiveness against whitefly. Per cent infestation due to shoot and fruit borer on weight basis in various treatments ranged from 18.0–28.1% as compared to 38.2% in untreated check. Increase in yield was highest (160.4%) in treatment schedule having spray of profenophos+cypermethrin followed by one spray each of fipronil and carbosulfan.
