Abstract

Huangchenggen No. 2 is a new F1 hybrid rootstock,Cucurbita moschata D.,for cucumber. It is bred by crossing inbred line S216 as female parent with S584 as male parent. This variety has high compatibility with the cucumber. It is tolerant to low temperature and resistant to Fusarium wilt. It has the ability to produce bloomless cucumber fruit and no ad- verse effect on fruit quality. This rootstock variety is suitable for cucumber production in protected cultivation.
