The importance of service integration to deliver on homelessness policy outcomes: Learning from international experience

I have been involved and working with people who are homeless or marginally housed for more than twenty five years in various roles and across various funding programs. One of the key things that this has done is fire my passion for social justice to try and make the systems and services better, whether that is health, housing or homelessness services, with an aim of preventing people becoming homeless in the first place. I am very clear that people do not choose to become homeless. Homelessness is not a lifestyle choice. Being homeless is tough. Being homeless severely impacts your ability to plan your future. Access to safe and secure affordable housing is a human right.
