Abstract
Nylon and polystyrene beads were used in an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) developed for detecting gypsy moth, Lymantria dispar L., nuclear polyhedrosis virus. Potentially, plastic-bead ELISA is an inexpensive and specific method that can be used for the quantitative measurement of insect pathogens and other proteins of interest.
