Abstract

The host plants of the aphid, the number of instars, the length of the reproductive period and the number of young produced are discussed. Notes are given on the habits of four hymenopterous parasites reared from the aphid, namely, a braconid, Praon simulans and three chalcids, A phelinus jucundus, A. semiflavus and Aphidencyrtus inquisitor. Control measures are suggested.
