Abstract

Objective:To investigate the expression of VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 in ovarian carcinomas and their correlations to oncogenesis and progression of ovarian cancer Methods:The levels of VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 were tested by immunohistochemical technology. And the relationship among the expressions of three genes as well as the relationship between them was analyzed. Results:The positive rates of VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 were significantly higher in patients with ovarian carcinoma than those in normal controls(P0.05),and their positive rate in those of clinical stage Ⅲ~Ⅳwas higher than stageⅠ~Ⅱ(P0.05).The positive rate of VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 were correlated with clinical stage and lymph node metastasis(P0.05).Conclusion:The changes in positive rates of VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 proteins in ovarian cancer are accordant to the changes in normal ovarian tissue.VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 may cooperate with each other in tumor invasion and metastasis.
