A case of pleomorphic adenoma of the cheek.

Abstract

Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common tumor found in the salivary glands. Its most comon site is the parotid gland in the major salivary glands, and the palate in the minor salivary glands. Among the minor salivary glands, incidence at the cheek is comparatively rate.We recently experienced a case of pleomorphic adenoma of the cheek. The patient was a 63 year old man who complained of swelling in the buccal mucosa. The tumor was enucleated under general anesthesia. Pathological finding showed pleomorphic adenoma. Prognoses was excellent, and there is no evidence of recurrence.
