Rock Glaciers and Ice-Cored Moraines

information. They have advanced our present knowledge and their data are extremely helpful. In reading their paper I was stimulated to a comparison of ice-cored moraines and rock glaciers, which, as I hope, may help to a better understanding of some results in the above cited paper. My own experience is based on studies undertaken recently on rock glaciers in the Swiss Alps (Barsch 1969 a and b) and on inactive rock glaciers in the higher mountains of Arizona (Barsch and Updike). Unfortunately our material (e.g. all data of our geophysical exploration) is only partly published. Based on our experiences I want to discuss 4 points.
