Abstract

To obtain eggs in large numbers by economical methods is a prerequisite for efficient large-scale production of such tropical fruit flies as the oriental fruit fly, Dacus dorsalis Hendel; the Mediterranean fruit fly, Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann); and the melon fly, Dacus cucurbitae Coquillett.
