Abstract
This paper reviews theories of possible states of nuclear matter at high density, including normal matter, pion condensation, solidification, quark matter and abnormal matter. Implications of the microscopic theories for the properties of neutron stars, and nuclei, are considered. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
