Abstract

There are two central concepts in the analysis ofmobility of landslides: the run-out distance which isdefined as the horizontal distance between the initial centreof mass of the sliding material and the centre of mass of thesliding material subsequent to the landslide and the areawhich is defined as the total area affected by the landslide.
