Notes on the Bionomics of Lixus Fimbriolatus Boh. (Coleoptera, Curculionidae)

Abstract
In 1889 Webster reported upon some of the habits of this snout beetle referring to it as Lixus macer Lee. The present paper, based on investigations carried out in the fall of 1939 and the spring and summer of 1940 at Urbana, Illinois, further contributes to the bionomics of this insect. The beetle was abundant along railroads, where the host plants grew profusely.
