Abstract

Erroneous vectors are often found in the velocity vectors obtained by use.of PN because of mismatching a tracer image pattern to another one. Therefore, we must detect them in order to obtain a correct velocity information on the flow field.In this study, we focus on the velocity vector distribution obtained in PIV. And, we propose the correction methods using an algorithm based on the local continuity of flow. We also propose an attempt to decrease the dependency of threshold on the processed results.
