Numerical Simulation on Soil Temperature Field around Underground Hot Oil Pipelines and Medium Temperature-Drop in the Process of Staring

Abstract

For drawing up science and reasonable crude oil transportation craft, we should accurately forecast the change of soil temperature field around pipeline and oil temperature within pipeline. The soil temperature fields around the buried hot oil pipeline during starting and oil temperature within pipeline are numerically simulated through using finite elements method, find out how the soil temperature around pipeline distribute and oil temperature within pipeline change at different time. Analysis the calculation results show that the time of infusing oil after preheating should be in line with the requirement, and multiple factors obviously influence oil temperature change within pipeline, such as staring time, staring temperature etc. The reliable basis is provided for hot oil pipeline to operate economically and securely.
