Abstract

The National Association of Advisors for the Health Profession (NAAHP) is the professional organization representing some 700 college and university advisors for students interested in any of the health professions. Members may be faculty members with advising as an extra job or they may be full-time advisors. Additionally, the Board of Directors has formed an Advisor Council consisting of representatives from 12 different health professions. This council reports trends in each profession, educational and employment, to help the advisors better assist students. This is a report of trends and a discussion of other issues that the advisors asked to be brought to the PA profession in particular. Their Web address is www.naahp.org.
