Abstract
Selinum candollii DC. (Apiaceae) is an important perennial medicinal and aromatic plant species (MAPs) grows in humus rich mountain slopes. Underground parts were collected from Tungnath (12,000 ft asl), extracted for essential oil and analyzed by GC-FID and GC-MS. Chemical composition of essential oil described with possible uses of constituents for food, flavor and pharmaceutical sector.
