Abstract
This article is a brief research report based on network planning of urban high rail transit in Guangzhou. It is the first professional and systematic research in our country. After one year's research and practice, a series of new opinions, new theories, new methods and new ideas have been found out about character, guideline, content, research method, control scale, structure level, function analysis, traffic prediction, evaluation system and implementation planning of network planning and so on. The network planning in conformity with urban comprehensive planning has established important basis for urban advancement and continuous development of high rail transit. Urban high rail transit with the characteristic of popular, large capacity and special railway is the main public transport in big cities. At the same time, it's also the large basic project of urban construction. So, urban high rail transit is very important in urban comprehensive planning and will lead the development trend of urban construction and planning. As a special planning in urban comprehensive planning, network planning of urban high rail transit (simply called "network" below) is a "professional, systematic, scientific and creative" network planning. Before now, no network planning like this has been made in any cities. It's our pleasure to edit and finish "network planning" on schedule and obtain great praise from professors. We found out a series of new opinions, new theories, new methods and new ideas through one year's research and practice. Being a new exploitation in the field of urban high rail transit in our country, we hope to ask for advice to improve network planning.
