Abstract

ABSTRACT: Two cases are reported which are the authors' first encounter with complications from applying sterile fluorescein drops in the immediate postoperative examination of radial keratotomy patients with microperforations. Because the iritis in these cases appears to be related to the fluorescein that entered the anterior chamber, the authors advise against the use of topical fluorescein in the immediate postoperative period of radial keratotomy in these patients.
