Nail bed doubling syndrome a case report.

Congenital ectopic nail formations are rare. We treated 3 years old girl who had had characteristic nail anomalies of both little fingers since her birth. The nail covered not only the dorsal but the palmar aspect of the distal phalanx. The motion of the PIP and DIP joints was restricted. X-ray showed abnormal short ungual phalanges. Analogous nail anomalies were also found in the toes.
