Abstract
Pervasive computing is also called ubiquitous computing, intelligent spaces, adaptive environment, disappearing computer, and ambient intelligence. It comprises of embedded intelligence (μC or μP), connectivity (network: wired/wireless), and the means to interact (applications and services). The world of pervasive computing is here now! In 5 years time, a product that cannot interact will probably be out of date. Most products have a design cycle of 3 or more years. Don't design them to be obsolete. (5 pages)
