Abstract
Numerical results are presented for three classes of flow: radial outflow between co-rotating discs, outflow between a stationary and a rotating disc and the flow due to a ‘free’ disc. Comparison of these predictions with other workers’ experimental, analytical and numerical results indicates that the κ-ε model, in its present form, may not be suitable for such flows.
