Abstract

土壌はリン酸を吸着, 固定する能力がある。比較的高いリン酸吸着能を持つスコリア (アカスコ) および浮石 (ミソ土) を利用し, 一次処理下水中に含まれるリン酸の吸着, 除去を目的として基礎的な研究を行った。アカスコおよびミソ土は, 多孔質物質で, 0~10mmの範囲の粒径では, その比表面積に大差がなかった。アカスコおよびミソ土によるリン酸の吸着は, 平衡に達するまでに50時間以上を必要とし, 平衡リン酸濃度, 溶液のpH, 競合イオンの存在は, 電解質物質濃度よりもリン酸の吸着に強い影響を与えた。一次処理下水中からリン酸を除去 (カラム法) するには, アカスコでは0~2mm, 浮石では2~5mmの粒径を用いれば, 目詰まりを起こさず, よいリン酸吸着率を示すことが明らかになった。
