Abstract
Several laboratory and field strains of the housefly, Musca domestica L., were examined for possible resistance to cyromazine. Only one strain, obtained from a poultry farm in Pennsylvania where cyromazine had been used for fly control, was found to be moderately resistant (resistance ratio, 5.42-fold). The synergists piperonyl butoxide and diethyl maleate had a slight antagonistic influence on cyromazine toxicity in both the susceptible and the resistant strains.
