Armed Forces insecticide susceptibility tests were conducted on 9 German cockroach, Blatella germanica (L.), strains from military installations in 6 states of the Fifth U. S. Army Area. Susceptibilities were reported as LT50 in hours. These cockroach strains compared with normal chlordane strains show resistance to chlordane. Slight resistance with malathion was indicated when compared with malathion-normal strains. Susceptibility with diazinon and naled was reported, but no normal strain data were available to make comparisons.
