Abstract
The characteristics of urban road network is studied based on the complex network theory. Sanya, Langfang, Jining, Kunming and Dalian city are selected as the case areas, and the geometric characteristics of the networks of these cities are analyzed. Results show that there are some characteristics of complex network in the urban road network. The research results about road network complexity discussed in this paper are directive for the planning of urban transportation network stability, the research of characteristics of transportation network, and the dynamic traffic management.
