An internal feedback mechanism responsible for the natural excitation of instabilities in a plasma and its diagramatical representation similar to that for the conventional feedback amplifier are proposed. A theory is then developed, in which the internal feedback is linked with an external feedback loop to obtain an unified account for the feedback control of the instabilities.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
