Abstract
By teaching technical disciplines in higher education increased requirements. Studied the discipline of a student, especially non-Russian to be associated with teachers who know how appliances speech and speech culture. The lexical component of the lecture material should be presented in the form of keywords separate threads on the subject - terms. Terms shape their language systems defined conceptual relationships of professional knowledge. Students of direction Oil and Gas Business study discipline Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, which contains the following modules: theoretical mechanics, strength of materials, theory of mechanisms and machines, machine parts and design principles. Each of the previous modules prepare students for subsequent assimilation, which are in turn based on subject matter specialization. Many terms are qualified by either acquire new definition, moreover, it becomes necessary to refer to the same concepts of other symbols. Mastering formed terminological system is one of the most important ways of mastering the technical disciplines. The article shows examples of the different definitions of the same term, as well as examples of the same lettering different quantities. For students, it is important to understand that formed the basic sciences have in their arsenal a variety of textbooks, which are denoted by different terms in different ways, because of the stages of the evolution of the natural sciences and technical disciplines. In the lecture material of a generalized concept of the term have to be validated by a clear definition, the formula corresponding to the letter designation and unit of measure of this value. Assimilation and understanding of the material is possible only students at a high enough of their language competence, which is primarily concerned with the level of proficiency specialty by the teacher.
