Abstract

Im Juni 2011 findet der 100. Bibliothekartag statt. The 100th German Librarians' Day will be held in June 2011. The 100th special issue of this journal appeared in 2010. For many years the Librarians' Day proceedings have been published in the special issue series. The author has gathered here a selection of excerpts which spotlight people, facts and issues which recall those years, such as: 1973 - founding of the (West) German Library Association and publication of the planning paper »Library Plan 73«; 1976 - German Copyright Law; 1978 - German Library Institute (DBI); 1981 - state acquisition of the Oettingen-Wallerstein library; 1984 - triumph of the microfiche catalog; 1992 - budgetary crises; 1993 - future of the book discussed at the German Librarians' Day; 1997 - New Book Economy; 2008 - first German library laws.
