Abstract
The main environmental problems in highway construction that directly or indirectly influence on the environment are viewed. The major impacts on the geological environment are associated with realization of construction works, with use of construction equipment as well as with waste formation in construction organizations activities. Information on technical standards for the environment protection during highway construction is provided.
