Abstract
There have been many measurements of hemolymph solutes and many suggested functions of hemolymph. Important to both these types of research is the length of time a solute stays in the hemolymph. In relation to our interest in the possible function of hemolymph solutes in the regulation of feeding, we have analyzed the time course of injected and ingested amino acids in the hemolymph of the large milkweed bug, Oncopeltus fasciatus (Dallas).
