Abstract
SUMMARYThe complex condition existing in the thallism of certain species of Phytophthora and Peronospora is pointed out. Strict homothallism is shown to exist in five species of Pythium studied. The method used in obtaining the single zoöspore cultures of Pythium is described in detail.
