The Early Treatment of Pulmonary Tuberculosis

THE therapy of pulmonary tuberculosis has progressed markedly in recent years. It is desirable, therefore, to review present trends in treatment for the benefit of those not actively engaged in tuberculosis research and in the hospital care of patients. A final pattern of treatment has not yet emerged, but enough has been accomplished so that the physician can offer the patient with newly discovered1 pulmonary tuberculosis a fairly specific course of therapy for his disease.
