Let be an indefinite quadratic form in the integer variables x1, . . . , xn with real coefficients of determinant D = ||ars||(n) ≠ 0. The homogeneous minimum MH(Qn) and the inhomogeneous minimum MI(Qn) of Qn(x) are defined as follows :
