ANALYTICAL STUDIES ON THE SEDIMENTATION ABOVE A WEIR

Abstract

This paper is an analytical approach to the sedimentation problems above a weir. Variations in sand bed profile above a weir were calculated analytically by characteristic curve method, proposed by Assist. Prof. Y. Iwagaki, Kyoto University, in the case of rectangular channel supplied with constant discharge from upstream. In order to support the above mentioned analysis, some investigations in an experimental flume were practised.
