Abstract

Endodontic surgery is the treatment of periradicular lesions by means of any surgical procedure to solve complications of the endodontic treatment. Retrograde filling, one of the modalities of the surgery, consists in removing the apex of the root, followed by the preparation of the cavity and the filling of that space with appropriate materials such as Super-EBA, amalgam and MTA. This study reviews the literature and reports a case of endodontic surgery using MTA, Descriptors: endodontic surgery, endodontic materials, MTA.
