α, α'-Azobis (isobutyronitrile) was used as an initiator for telomerization of allyrbenzene with carbon tetrachloride, and the effects of time of reaction, molar ratio of allylbenzene to carbon tetrachloride, and the amount of α, α'-azobis (isobutyrlonitrile) added for the conversion of allylbenzene, and the yield of telomer have been investigated.
